Oceanic Qualifier #8
23rd June, 2013. Check-in on IRCchat @ #NLGSeries at 1:00 PM- An Admin will be there to check teams in. All teams must check in (and be signed up) before tournament start time or they will not be eligible to play. You can use IRC online at: http://webchat.quakenet.org/.
Cup starts @ 2pm. (All times are NzSt, GMT +12)
*All team captains must be in #NLGSeries IRC channel at tournament start time. Teams will be allowed 15 minutes to get all 5 players in the lobby. Games must start in a timely manner so the entire tournament runs smoothly and on time.
Find teams, talk to admins, and report scores all in the same IRC as check-in.
Please add your team name or abbreviation to your IRC nickname so that admins and other teams can easily converse with you.

How it works:
The cup starts with eight preliminary cups in which the best teams qualify for a series of playoff matches. This cup is directed at the Oceanic scene and will therefore be played at an appropriate time and server for Oceanic players, but all teams from all regions are allowed to enter.

Every Saturday and Sunday starting from Sat 1 June until Sun 23 June
The cup starts at 2PM NZST (Checkin starts at 1PM NZST)
Top 2 qualifies for playoffs
Default server: AU (other servers can be used if both teams agree)
Teams can continue to enter into the qualifiers every week for more chances to win. If a team qualifies for the playoffs they will no longer be allowed to play in any more qualifiers.
Playoffs:
Four playoff days in total
29th-30th June and 6th-7th July
Matches start at 2PM NZST (Checkin starts at 1PM NZST)
16 team Double Elimination bracket
Upper Bracket all games best of one, with upper bracket finals being best of three
Lower Bracket is best of one with LB Finals being best of three
Grand Final is best of five with the Upper Bracket team starting 1-0
Default server: AU (other servers can be used if both teams agree)
*Teams need to make sure they can play on the playoff dates before signing up for qualifiers. Below is the schedule of game which are to be played consecutively from start time that day, and the max number of games a team may have to play that day.
Playoffs schedule:
Day 1 (29th, June): Winner Bracket Rounds 1 & 2, Loser Bracket Rounds 1 & 2 (3 games max)
Day 2 (30th, June): Winner Bracket Semi Finals & Finals , Loser Bracket rounds 3 & 4 (4 games max)
Day 3 (6th, July): Loser Bracket Semi Finals & Finals (4 games max)
Day 4 (7th, July): Grand finals (4 games max)
